NGC 6960. Known as the "Veil Nebula", is an expanding supernova remnant created roughly 8000 years ago. These are the remains of a star that was once 20 times the size of the sun. Residing in the Milky Way Galaxy, our subject finds himself amidst this colorful nebula of expanding gas 2100 light years from earth. Some artistic liberty was taken for creating this specific backdrop animation.
